First job was to clean off, prepare, dry and prime existing coverings
High performance felt vapour barrier installed, note upstands were stripped off.
New rain water outlets were installed
Cut to falls insulation being marked out and cut. Note cross falls.
Insulation bonded in hot bitumen
High performance polyester underlay bonded in bitumen on perforated venting sheet. Note black dots in felt showing perforated layer underneath.
Not the best time of year to undertake such a project
The job had to carry on.
Note insulation was so thick at top of roof fall, it had to be installed in 2 layers.
Finally laid the elastomeric mineral surfaced cap sheet.
Beginning to look different.
New rain water outlet installed.
Ready to clean off, the job is complete.
Cleaned off, scaffold down, sun comes out.
