Asphalt was worked up to pipe support, pipe support was moved, and asphalt was made good. Because asphalt is laid in molten form, this section of roof is as strong as any other part and is not a 'patch'.

There were many obstacles to overcome on this project

All pipes and legs had to have collars formed around them

Asphalt mixer contained within temporary fencing

Handrails and scaffold walkway to rope and wheel hoist

This roof was completely re-placed with mastic asphalt including fitting new fascias and gutters, all undertaken while the factory was in full operation.
